#EssentialCockail => Rhubarb Infused Gin and Tonic

I find it absolutely essential for a cocktail to be beautiful. And this one is absolutely gorgeous on top of being delicious.

Ingredients:

-1 rhubarb stalk. As red as possible.

-3 ounces of gin per cocktail

-Tonic. The best you can find.

-Sprig of Thyme

 

Method:

Chop your rhubarb in small pieces and add to a glass container with lid.

Pour the gin on top and keep in the dark for 24 to 48 hours until the mixture has become bright red. I would recommend...


#EssentialCocktail => Blushing Kiss Martini

This is one of my favorite cocktails. It's gorgeous. It's beautiful to hold in your hand and it taste even better than it looks! I make my version much less sweet than the original. 

Ingredients:

-2.5 parts of gin

-1/2 part St-Germain

-1 part pink grapefruit juice

-Grapefruit wedge

-Sprig of thyme

 

Method:

Shake all ingredients with ice in a shaker.

Pour through a strainer into a chilled Martini glass.

Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and thyme sprig. Make sure to rub your thyme gently between your hands to release the scent.

#EssentialCocktail => Classic Martini

A staple cocktail in our household is the classic martini. I like mine with gin and extra dry. Most often than not, I will skip vermouth all together. Jonny prefers his a bit more wet and dirty. But we both agree they must be shaken until they become as cold as possible. The garnish, is where I like to switch things up. I usually use whatever we have around and simply try to make the cocktails visually entertaining. 

Ingredients:

-3 Ounces gin (Bombay is my favorite. It smells absolutely delicious)

-2 Drops dry vermouth for the extra dry version or 1/2...


#EssentialCocktail => Grapefruit Gin

Ingredients:

-2 dash of Jonny Hetherington Essentials Peach Habanero Sauce

-2 oz gin

-2 oz freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice

-Ice

-Coarse sea salt

 

Method:

Salt the rim of your favourite tumbler.

In a shaker add two dashes of hot sauce and equal parts gin and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. Shake with ice and pour over the rocks.

Garnish with fresh grapefruit and habanero slices. 

Voila! Habanero grapefruit gin cocktail.


#EssentialCocktail => Spicy Gin Cucumber Cocktail

 

Ingredients:

-4 oz gin

-12 oz lemonade (freshly squeezed lemons mixed with a touch of sugar)

-1 dash of Pineapple Hot Sauce

-1 long slice of cucumber per glass

-Ice

 

Method:

Arrange your cucumber slices in your high ball glasses.

Fill with ice cubes.

Add the gin, lemonade and Hot Sauce. Stir well and serve immediately.

 

Voila! Spicy gin cucumber cocktail.
