#EssentialHealth => Good For Your Gut

You might expect that people that are living with digestive issues or sensitive stomachs might shy away from spicy foods, however, you may find it interesting that the truth is actually quite the opposite. Not only do habanero peppers not cause stomach ulcers, they can help prevent them by killing harmful bacteria you may have ingested. Habaneros can also help the digestive system by stimulating the cells that line the stomach to secrete protective buffering juices.

So the beautiful health benefits of capsaicin, not to mention the flavor and heat can be enjoyed and even embraced...

#EssentialHealth => Prostate Health

Did you know that the capsaicin found in habaneros has proven to be effective in preventing, slowing and treating prostate cancer?

According to the American Association for Cancer Research, capsaicin can be a helpful component of a prostate cancer treatment plan because the substance is able to kill prostate cancer cells. So, guys, get spicy and stay healthy.

#EssentialHealth => Reduce High Blood Pressure

Did you know eating habaneros has been shown to reduce high blood pressure? The capsaicin in the habanero peppers stimulates the increase of the insulin-like growth factor IGF-I which reduces blood pressure.

Getting spicy will keep you healthy!

#EssentialHealth => Heartburn Remedy

Did you know habanero peppers are actually good for treating heartburn?

Sounds strange, but research shows that the capsaicin in habanero peppers triggers your body to release a neurotransmitter called Substance P in response to the heat.

The benefit comes with repeated exposure to capsaicin, through frequent and regular consumption of hot peppers. When capsaicin regularly contacts a specific site on the body, levels of substance P actually become depleted at the nerve terminals in that location. The result – significant reductions in pain.
